Rural Rain II is the second series of a unique assortment of rain recordings captured in rural environments, far from human-generated noise.
- The recordings feature various intensities of rain, from gentle drops on leaves to heavy downpours and storms.
- The absence of human-related noises, wildlife, and the focus on rain hitting diverse surfaces like leaves, bushes, metal roofs, plastic and more contribute to the purity of the soundscape.
- No wildlife either in any recording. If present, it has been cautiously edited out in RX.
- Rain falling on surfaces such as leaves, bushes, dirt, mud, puddles, metal roofs, patio tiles, cars, concrete, plastic and so on.
- Gear used: Sound Devices MixPre 6-II, Sennheiser 8040s in ORTF, Sennheiser 8040s & 30 in DMS, LOM Usis in Quad & AB, Sony D100.
- All files are in 96 kHz / 24 bit and come with embedded Soundminer metadata.
- UCS Compatible Metadata embedded. Fields included CatID, Category, Subcategory, FX Name, Filename, Description, BWDescription, Library, RecType, Microphone, Designer, Manufacturer, Keywords.
